Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2026-03-04

This policy describes the cookies and technical browser storage actually used on the Napulè Apartment website as of the last updated date. It is drafted in line with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy), Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, and the Italian Data Protection Authority’s guidelines of 10 June 2021 on cookies and other tracking tools.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are text files that a website or a third-party service may save in your browser to make a feature work, keep a session active, or store a technical preference. In addition to cookies, the website may use local browser storage such as localStorage and sessionStorage, limited to technical purposes strictly connected to the service you request.

2. Tools actually used on this website

2.1 Strictly necessary technical cookies

The website uses technical cookies that are strictly necessary for authentication features, protected account areas, and application security controls. These cookies are used to maintain a session, verify legitimate requests, and allow operations such as account access and booking management to work correctly. These cookies do not require prior consent because they are necessary to provide the requested service.

2.2 Technical browser storage

Some client-side functions store temporary technical data in the browser so interrupted operations can be resumed and navigation can continue consistently. In particular, the booking flow may temporarily store operational data related to availability holds and the state of the booking procedure. These data do not replace the accommodation’s database and are used only to resume the process on the same device.

2.3 Third-party content and services

  • Google Maps embedded on the Contact page: the page containing the map loads an iframe provided by Google only after consent to external content is given through the cookie banner. When the iframe loads, the browser connects to Google servers and Google may set cookies or other identifiers under its own rules. See Google Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe Checkout hosted on Stripe’s domain: when you are redirected to the payment page managed by Stripe, any cookies are set on Stripe pages and governed by Stripe’s own rules. Stripe acts as an independent controller for those processing activities. See Stripe Privacy Policy.

As of this update, the website does not directly set first-party profiling, advertising, or first-party analytics cookies.

3. Consent and control

The website shows a first-layer cookie banner with a short notice, a link to this page, and two immediate equivalent choices: “Necessary only” and “Accept external content”. Closing the banner without accepting keeps the default setting based on strictly necessary tools only. If you do not allow external content, the Google map is not loaded and is replaced with an informational placeholder until you later grant consent.

Through the persistent “Cookie preferences” button, you can reopen the same banner at any time and change your choice. The preference is stored in a first-party technical cookie named napule_cookie_consent, containing only the selected option, the applicable policy version, and the timestamp of the latest decision. If the browser cannot persist the cookie but still allows local browser storage, the same technical record may be saved in localStorage only as a same-device fallback. If consent-based tracking tools are introduced in the future, the banner and this policy will be updated accordingly.

4. How to limit cookies and local storage

You can limit or delete cookies and browser-stored data through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & security → Cookies and site data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage website data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Disabling technical cookies or deleting local browser storage may prevent login, protected area access, recovery of an interrupted booking flow, and other strictly technical functions from working correctly. Blocking third-party cookies may also limit the embedded map; the external content choice can also be updated from the “Cookie preferences” button without changing your browser settings.

5. Duration

Session technical cookies remain active only for the browsing session or for the time strictly required by the function that uses them. The cookie preference record remains active for up to 6 months, after which the banner may be shown again. Technical data stored in localStorage or sessionStorage for the booking flow or as an optional technical fallback remain on the device until the function completes, the data are overwritten, or you clear them manually. If you delete the preference cookie or the related local fallback, the banner will be shown again on a later visit. The duration of cookies set by Google or Stripe depends solely on their respective policies.

6. Rights and contact

For any personal data that may be processed through cookies or similar tools, you may exercise the rights provided by Articles 15-22 GDPR, where applicable. For questions about this Cookie Policy or to exercise your rights, contact the Data Controller: Napulè Apartment, email info@napuleapartment.it, phone +39 342 334 7947. For the full framework of personal data processing, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Changes

This policy is updated whenever the cookies actually used, the providers involved, or the applicable legal framework changes. The last updated date is shown at the top of the page.
